Faith

I am a Biblical Christian. For those who don't know what that is, Biblical Christians believe...

  • that the Bible is the inspired word of God and is the source of truth.
  • that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin.
  • that Christ lived a life in perfect harmony with God's law and will.
  • that Christ's teaching promote harmony between races, genders and individuals.
  • that Christ, as prophesied in the Old Testament, was tried and convicted and executed using the most heinous method of execution ever invented.
  • that Christ rose again after 3 days and appeared to the 11 remaining apostles.
  • that the only way to be reconciled to God is to accept Christ as your personal savior.

Reconciliation with God is the only way into Heaven, and no act on my part can aid in that reconciliation. Only faith in Christ can accomplish that.

He saved us, not by the righeous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
- Titus 3:5

Biblical Christianity is found in the teachings of Martin Luther, John Calvin, Jonathan Edwards and Charles Spurgeon, to name a few.

People who think that Christians are racist and homophobic don't understand the Bible and Christian beliefs. Christ commanded that we love our neighbors as we love ourselves. We may not agree with the lifestyle, but we have no wish to deprive anyone of their rights. We just have a different view of "alternate" lifestyles and where they lead. And we would prefer to not have alternate lifestyles disproportionately represented in media.
