Epilogue

Upon taking off from Thessaloniki, I looked out my window and finally saw it.

You can barely see the snow-capped peaks of Mount Olympus.

The flight to Istanbul was only an hour. My illness seemed to be raging at this point, and I had taken a large dose of cough medicine and 2 Dramamine to try to get some sleep. And I might have gotten a few hours.

We landed at DFW, gathered our luggage, and met Ryan and Alyssa at the exit. In a short time, we were back home. A couple days later, Pollyanna and I went to CareNow, as she started feeling sick over the weekend, and we both have COVID, and I have the added bonus of pneumonia. I’m glad I didn’t let the illness stop me from experiencing Greece. The sights, the country are all so beautiful and unique. The food was amazing, and the people were gracious and pleasant. Greece is our second-favorite country to visit.
